Elvis Dumervil, 49ers make for great late NFL free agency match

Wright’s agent Tamerat Berhe made the story public when he said, “Who takes an 8-hour Uber from Chicago to Buffalo to make a voluntary [Bills] practice? Shareece Wright did.” Berhe then tweeted at Wright to show the receipt, which he did.

Based on Wright’s image, it appears the trip started at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport, which leads to the assumption that his flight got canceled. We don’t know that for sure, but it’s the only logical explanation as to why he’d opt to take a such a long — and expensive — Uber ride over an airplane.

John Lynch’s latest forward thinking as the 49ers’ general manager: Throwing it back to his final NFL season with the Broncos a decade ago.

Lynch announced Tuesday that San Francisco had signed free-agent Elvis Dumervill. The veteran pass-rusher, while playing defensive end for Denver in 2007 in front of Lynch, broke out with 12.5 sacks. Overall, as either a Broncos 4-3 end or Ravens 3-4 outside linebacker, Dumervil has amassed 99 sacks in 99 career starts.

He’s 33 and coming off a 2016 season mostly lost to a foot injury. That Toronto Blue Jays Cheap Jerseys made him a easy salary-cap casualty for the Ravens in March.

As the 49ers are the ones to end his three-month free agency, they don’t US Cheap Jerseys Club need him to step into the fountain of youth and find some of the form that produced 17 sacks four seasons ago. They needed someone to play a specific role in their defense, and they needed more veteran leadership, too.

With his hybrid experience, Dumervil is the perfect candidate to be San Francisco’s “LEO” pass rusher as it makes a transition to a Seattle-like 4-3 under defensive coordinator Robert Saleh.
